The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services towards the community.

SASSA might be rendering solutions such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency claimed it can be alarmed in regards to the higher range of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some large amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This status sassa can be due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no absolutely functional office dedicated to service the area each day. The service point developed for intervention experiences a higher inflow of probable beneficiaries, that makes it difficult with the Workplace to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra sassa status resources to allow the servicing of all buyers and raise use of Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
